Data Quality for the 21st Century:
Define, Measure, Improve and Maintain

A three-part series with Alex Gorelik, CTO, Exeros

Recorded in October and November 2008

Data quality has become an overriding concern for companies whose IT infrastructures have evolved piecemeal over the last two or three decades. Your company has made tremendous investments in applications such as ERP, CRM, SCM, financial systems, trading systems, etc., with built-in logic to insure internal data consistency and compliance to business rules.

Unfortunately, these safeguards cannot protect the data once it travels outside the application, nor prevent erroneous data from entering the application. So most data quality issues occur between applications. Data gets lost in translation, business rules differ between applications, and code that moves data contains errors.  Today's data quality issues are cross-system, and require cross-system quality tools and methodologies.

Alex Gorelik, CTO of Exeros, will present a new methodology for today's data quality and explain how to:

  • --DEFINE the business rules that your data quality program needs to comply with
  • --MEASURE the level of quality and data consistency in your cross-system data
       landscape today
  • --FIX and MAINTAIN your data to keep it consistent across your enterprise

These webinars are designed for managers and practitioners in data management -- please be aware that there will be a considerable level of detail presented.
